Boeing places a strong emphasis each year on recognizing superior supplier performance through the Performance Excellence Awards and the Supplier of the Year awards. The awards are Boeing’s premier recognition for our supply chain partners who demonstrate distinguished performance in quality, affordability and reliability in 15 different categories. Tri Models has been awarded the BPEA 5 times with the latest being at the Gold Level in 2018. In 2005 we were one of 11 suppliers to win the Boeing Supplier of the Year Award.
Tri Models Incorporated received a 2018 Boeing Performance Excellence Award. The Boeing Company issues the award annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. Tri Models maintained a Gold composite performance rating for each month of the 12-month performance period, from October 2017 to September 2018. This is the second consecutive year that Tri Models has achieved the Gold level of recognition and the fifth straight year that Tri Models has achieved the Gold or Silver level. In 2017, Boeing recognized 414 suppliers who achieved either a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award with a total of 71 suppliers achieving the Gold level. “Tri Models is incredibly proud to receive this award from Boeing as it is a reflection of the dedication of our employees and their desire to be a best-in-class supplier to Boeing and all of our customers,” said Chris Athaide, Director of New Business at Tri Models. “We strive to achieve superior performance in all that we do and to not only be a supplier but also a partner for Boeing that enables them to be successful in their missions.”
Raytheon recognizes suppliers for their outstanding commitment to customer success by demonstrating excellence in affordability, technical execution, business management, innovation, partnership, and performance.
This distinguished award is presented to Lockheed suppliers whose performance excels in the areas of quality, delivery, affordability, and management.
In 2012 Tri Models was recognized for exceptional performance in support of NASA and their Tier 1 suppliers in support of the NASA Supersonics program. Tri Models was awarded the NASA Small Business of the Year as well. Tri Models designed and built models for NASA, Gulfstream, Lockheed and Boeing and worked as a collaborative team member in NASA’s re-focus on supersonic aircraft and low-boom testing techniques/capabilities.
